IMMA appoints a new Secretary General
A Hungarian and Belgian citizen, based in Brussels, Ms. Dobranszky-Bartus brings a wealth of expertise in international transport policy and regulatory affairs. Since 2019, she has served as Senior Director for Policy Analysis, Social Affairs, and Finance at European Shipowners│ECSA (European Community Shipowners’ Associations), where she frequently engaged with United Nations transport entities. Having held different positions in the banking and financial sector, her multidisciplinary background includes training in law, risk management, and investment analysis, complemented by a PhD in Sustainable Finance, having studied in Budapest, Maastricht, and Cambridge.
IMMA President Savitree Kaewphuangngam (Director, Thai Honda Co., Ltd.) stated:
“On behalf of all IMMA members, I extend a warm welcome to Katalin. With her leadership and experience, we look forward to working together to strengthen IMMA’s voice as the global representative for motorcycle manufacturers.”
Reflecting on her new role, Katalin Dobranszky-Bartus said:
“I am honored to lead the IMMA secretariat at such an important time for the industry. My focus will be on the global harmonization of technical regulations and ensuring our members have an evidence-based voice in regulatory forums. Together, we will continue to drive actions that support the global long-term sustainability of the powered two-wheeler sector.”
