IMMA Welcomes Abraciclo As Its Newest Member, July 2018

A new member will join IMMA as of July 1st 2018: The Brazilian Association of Manufacturers of Motorcycle, Moped, Bicycles and Similar – Abraciclo.

The membership was approved during IMMA’s Spring Congress in Las Vegas, Nevada on 10 May in the category of national manufacturer association in IMMA.

‘’We are very pleased with the increased cooperation with Abraciclo as a new, full national manufacturer member association. We are looking forward to the progressive involvement of Abraciclo’s expertise in IMMA’s technical and non-technical activities, extending the scope of IMMA’s activities further globally”, said Mr Johannes Loman, President of IMMA, during the IMMA General Assembly.

On their joining to IMMA, Abraciclo’s President Mr Marcos Zaven Fermanian said:

‘’We greatly look forward to be part of and contribute as a member to the IMMA. Our cooperation will build further on the common launch and presentation of an industry white paper on motorcycle safety during the 2nd Global High-Level Conference on Road Safety ‘Time for Results ’ held in Brasilia in November 2015, considering our global common priority to improve motorcycle and scooter safety’’.

The motorcycle and scooter fleet in Brazil has steadily increased from 11 million vehicles in 2007 to more than 26 million vehicles in 2017. Motorcycles and scooters represented 26.94% of the total motor vehicle park in 2017.
